Having left Derby University way back in 2012, wide eyed, bushy tailed and the idiom “the world is your oyster” ringing through my tinnitus affected ears, I decided the best course of action would be to do what I loved most. I chose working in a bar being surrounded by beer, clearly the best thing for me. It took 5 years and the birth of my son to realise that 17 hour shifts and copious amounts of ‘testing’ beer and wine could benefit me no longer.
I started recruitment in 2017 as a Talent Specialist in the Media Planning and Buying industry. This is where I realised that the fast paced, high intensity and, sometimes stressful, world of recruitment would suit me down to the ground.
Bringing us to now. An opportunity opened up where I would be able to use my own unabridged personality and join likeminded, entrepreneurial, driven and sometimes incredibly opportunistic recruiters on a journey that will only certainly end in success.
As an incredibly avid PC maniac, having built my own gaming PC (to a value I’m extremely proud and ashamed of at the same time), where else could I be? The cliched ‘gym goer’ I once had on my CV dwindled somewhat in the whirlwind that was University and Hospitality, but I do my best…
I’ve eaten worse to be honest, go for it.
Surely if you save a pound a day and you have enough time, you’ll be a millionaire anyway, I sense a loophole.
