Network Engineer – Telford

How would you feel about working in the NOC team for a brand new half a million pound datacentre, within a business whose network touches 1/3 of all the internet traffic in the UK across fibre optic, wireless and other routes.

You will be working with the latest Cisco kit and as such will have a solid background in IP and associated routing protocols along with solid knowledge of Cisco routers and switches. A lot of their unique software is built around a Linux / Unix platform therefore you will be doing some basic command line scripting, configuring and maintaining the internal server platform and hosting services. Having worked in a data centre environment previously you will be confident in this environment and be a good trouble-shooter with strong analytical skills.

• Experience troubleshooting and configuring BGP based networks is a must
• Solid Cisco command line
• Firewalls

This role will be on a rota basis working 12 hour shifts 4 days on ,4 days off, 4 nights, 4 days off.

We are offering a daily rate of £300-400 per day dependant on experience.
